Nairobi – Mount Kenya Expedition (138 km, 3 – 4 hours)

Embark on an enthralling journey from Nairobi to the stunning landscapes of Mount Kenya, the second tallest mountain in Kenya. Our short tour offers two convenient pick-up locations: an early start from Nairobi, where we will pick you up from your hotel, residence, or the airport, or a later start if you have chosen to stay in the charming area of Nanyuki. Regardless of your starting point, your trekking experience around this majestic mountain will be nothing short of extraordinary.

With a full day ahead, you’ll begin your trek, covering a distance of approximately 9km. As you ascend, you’ll find yourself surrounded by the enchanting allure of the mountain’s forested inclines and bamboo jungle. The cool climate and abundant water on this ancient volcano nurture lush vegetation, creating a haven for a diverse array of mammals and birds, which your expert guide will be keen to help you spot and identify.

After a captivating 9km hike, we’ll treat you to a delightful picnic lunch amidst the scenic splendor. Energized and satisfied, you’ll then make your way back to your waiting tour vehicle. Although retracing your steps, fear not, for there will still be an abundance of different wildlife and new sights to behold. Take this moment to immerse yourself in the peaceful ambiance, breathe in the crisp mountain air, and bask in the wonders of nature that surround you.

Upon your return to the starting point, our safari vehicle will be ready to transfer you back to your desired location.
