ITINERARY

Tour Plan

Nairobi - Ol Pejeta Conservancy

(225 km – 3 to 4 hours)

We will do hotel/Airport pick-up before embarking on our journey northward. As we leave the city behind, you'll be greeted by charming landscapes adorned with tea and coffee estates, offering a picturesque glimpse into the local trade.

Our first destination is Sweetwaters camp, where a delicious lunch awaits you. Afterward, we'll venture into the unique park. As the largest sanctuary for rhinos in Africa, the chances of spotting these magnificent creatures are notably high. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to visit the Jane Goodall chimpanzee sanctuary, the only place in Kenya where you can observe our closest animal cousins.

To enhance your day even further, we offer a range of optional activities that you can incorporate:

  • Game walks
  • Nighttime game drives
  • Horseback safaris
  • Guided bush walks
  • Lion tracking
  • Bird watching
  • Game viewing from blinds
  • Meals in the bush
  • Camel rides

After an afternoon of exploring the wildlife within the park, we'll return to Sweetwaters Tented Camp, where you can savor an evening meal. The following amenities are included in this day of your Kenyan safari:

  • Accommodation at a tented camp or house within Ol Pejeta Conservancy
  • An overnight stay within the conservancy, immersing you in the wildlife-rich surroundings
  • Lunch and dinner are provided, while breakfast is not included
  • Drinking water is provided, while other beverages are available at an additional cost.

Luxury options:

Kicheche Lakipia Camp

An eco-award-winning small luxurious tented camp nestled in the shadows of Mount Kenya at the foot of an indigenous forest overlooking a waterhole. The camp’s squeaky green safari chic marries beautifully and sensitively with the natural highs of her surroundings in the wilderness zone of Ol Pejeta.

The camp consists of six luxurious custom-designed tents, all fully insect-proof with en-suite bathrooms equipped with a dresser, flushing toilet and hot showers. The tents are set around a waterhole which is a haven for resident wildlife. A family tent is also available which sleeps up to 4 guests.

Sweetwaters Serena Camp-Morani Wing Tent

With a magnificent backdrop of Mount Kenya, the recently constructed Morani Wing offers 17 luxurious tents suitable for double, twin, and triple occupancy. Among them, one tent is thoughtfully designed to cater to the needs of guests with mobility challenges. The bathrooms in these tents are equipped with a pair of hand washbasins, a toilet, and a shower enclosed by a glass door.

Ol Pejeta Conservancy - Nairobi

(225 km – 3 to 4 hours)

Start your day early to embark on a captivating wildlife excursion across the conservancy. By setting out before sunrise, you'll gain a remarkable vantage point to witness the park's daily rhythm. As the nocturnal creatures conclude their evening hunts, the diurnal animals awaken amidst a melodious dawn chorus for you to appreciate.

Once you return your Camp, a delectable breakfast awaits you. Following that, you'll embark on a drive through Mount Kenya Safari Club, offering additional opportunities to encounter Africa's renowned "big five" safari animals: lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and rhinos. After a satisfying lunch, your journey will lead you southward back to Nairobi. You can choose to be dropped off at a hotel, residence, or the airport within the city.

On the final day of your African safari, please note the following details:

  • There is no provision for accommodation as this marks the last day.
  • Breakfast and lunch will be provided, but dinner is not included.
  • Drinking water will be provided, while other beverages will incur additional charges.
