Welcome to Ol Pejeta, a sanctuary that boasts the largest collection of black rhinos globally, as well as being the home of the last two remaining northern white rhinos on Earth. In addition to these critically endangered species, Ol Pejeta provides a natural habitat for the magnificent big five of African safari: lions, buffalos, leopards, rhinos, and elephants. Rest assured, your Kenyan safari experience will be enriched by encounters with these awe-inspiring creatures.
One of the distinctive features of Ol Pejeta is the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, a haven dedicated to the care, shelter, and rehabilitation of rare chimpanzees. It is here that the only chimpanzees in Kenya are looked after, making it a truly unique aspect of your journey.
Centering your safari experience at Ol Pejeta promises a captivating perspective on Kenyan wildlife and global conservation efforts. Nairobi - Ol Pejeta Conservancy
(225 km – 3 to 4 hours)
Indulge in the freedom to select your preferred pick-up location within Nairobi as we embark on an early start to your adventure. Journeying northward through the picturesque Kenyan countryside, you will be greeted by a landscape adorned with lush tea and coffee estates, offering a refreshing ambiance along the way to your wildlife sanctuary haven.
Upon arrival at your chosen accommodation, a delightful lunch will be served, followed by an exceptional opportunity to visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary. Established in 1993 by the renowned naturalist Jane Goodall, this sanctuary provides a safe haven for our closest relatives. It is dedicated to offering a nurturing home to chimpanzees who have spent their lives in captivity. During your visit, you will have the chance to learn about the sanctuary's impactful work and the incredible journey of these remarkable animals.
After an enchanting afternoon spent with the chimpanzees, you will return to your accommodation, where a delectable dinner awaits. The first day of your Kenyan safari experience includes:

Sweetwaters Serena Camp is located inside Ol Pejeta Conservancy. It offers a tranquil respite in the wild, with en-suite bathrooms, free WiFi and a private balcony.

Kicheche Lakipia Camp
An eco-award-winning small luxurious tented camp nestled in the shadows of Mount Kenya at the foot of an indigenous forest overlooking a waterhole. The camp’s squeaky green safari chic marries beautifully and sensitively with the natural highs of her surroundings in the wilderness zone of Ol Pejeta.
The camp consists of six luxurious custom-designed tents, all fully insect-proof with en-suite bathrooms equipped with a dresser, flushing toilet and hot showers. The tents are set around a waterhole which is a haven for resident wildlife. A family tent is also available which sleeps up to 4 guests.
Sweetwaters Serena Camp-Morani Wing Tent
With a magnificent backdrop of Mount Kenya, the recently constructed Morani Wing offers 17 luxurious tents suitable for double, twin, and triple occupancy. Among them, one tent is thoughtfully designed to cater to the needs of guests with mobility challenges. The bathrooms in these tents are equipped with a pair of hand washbasins, a toilet, and a shower enclosed by a glass door.
Full Day in Ol Pejeta Conservancy
After a satisfying breakfast, embark on your first exhilarating safari game drive through the captivating wildlife park. Accompanied by your knowledgeable African safari guide, you'll have expert assistance in spotting and identifying the diverse array of animals you encounter. Be prepared for a high chance of witnessing the animals of your dreams, as Ol Pejeta boasts the highest density of wild animals per square kilometer compared to any other park in Kenya.
A delicious lunch will be served, providing you with nourishment for the remainder of the day spent surrounded by the wonders of nature. During your second game drive, you'll have the opportunity to visit a watering hole, offering a captivating sight of the mega fauna in their natural habitat. Observe them as they feed, bathe, and engage in playful interactions with their young.
As the second evening unfolds on the stunning Laikipia plain within Ol Pejeta, you'll return to your comfortable accommodation to savor a delightful evening meal. Take this time to reflect upon the incredible sights and experiences you've encountered during your Kenyan safari. The second day of your African safari includes:

Following the game drive, a satisfying breakfast will be served to fuel your onward journey. You will then traverse back through the scenic Kenyan countryside, heading towards Nairobi. A stop will be made along the way for a delightful lunch, allowing you to savor the flavors of the region. As the day draws to a close, you have the flexibility to choose your preferred drop-off location: your hotel, residence, or the airport, based on your onward plans.
