ITINERARY

Tour Plan

Mombasa/ Kenya Coast – Tsavo East National Park

(180 km, 3 to 4 hours)

Commencing from your Kenyan beach resort, you will be promptly picked up for an early start. Embark on a scenic journey along the Mombasa-Nairobi highway, covering approximately 120 kilometers. As the sun begins to rise, we reach the southern entry point of Tsavo East National Park, where a brief stop for optional refreshments awaits.

From the entrance gate, we embark on an exciting game drive in the southern part of the reserve. Keep your eyes peeled for a captivating array of wildlife, including majestic elephants, graceful gazelles, elegant giraffes, playful monkeys, zebras, and many other fascinating species.

Continuing our adventure, we head to our accommodation where a delectable lunch awaits. Afterward, a leisurely afternoon game drive is scheduled, providing awe-inspiring views of the African sunset as the day draws to a close.

Enjoy a restful overnight stay within Tsavo East National Park, experiencing the true essence of the wild. Your accommodation will be at a comfortable camp or lodge, where you will be provided with delicious meals for both lunch and dinner. Drinking water will be readily available, while additional beverages can be purchased separately to suit your preferences.

Ashnil Aruba Lodge

Ashnil Aruba Lodge lies in the heart of Tsavo East National Park in Kenya. The Lodge features 46 rooms and 6 tents. Its location is superb, just a couple of hours from the coast of Mombasa, 5 hours leisurely drive from Nairobi and is located on the banks of Aruba Dam which was built in 1952 as a sport fishing recreational point in the park. Several watering holes nearby attract wildlife and spotting animals is easy because the park lies flat with savannah grassland.

Voi Wildlife Lodge

Officially opened in 2003, the lodge is situated on a 25-acre site on the boundary of Tsavo East National Park, one of Kenya’s largest game parks with spectacular views of nearby volcanic outcrops, such as the Kasigau, Sagalla and Mwakingali Hills. Designed to blend unassumingly into the surrounding environment, the lodge boasts a natural waterhole often attracting big game, including elephant, lion, cheetah, buffalo as well as a rich variety of birdlife.

By 9:00 am, we'll return to your lodge or camp, where a hearty breakfast awaits. Fuel up for the day's continued exploration as we prepare to depart for Tsavo West National Park, enjoying a leisurely mid-morning game drive en-route. To maximize your time in the African wilderness, we'll indulge in a delightful picnic lunch within the enchanting Tsavo West National Park. Ngulia Safari Lodge, built in 1969, is located in Tsavo West National Park which a home to a big host of wild animals.

It can be accessed from Nairobi (260 km away), through Mtito Andei Gate or from Mombasa (250km away) through Tsavo River Gate. The Lodge is perched on the Ndawe Escarpment just below Ngulia Hills, overlooking the Rhino Sanctuary surrounded by Scenic Hills.

Ngulia Safari Lodge no doubt has one of the most breathtaking views in Kenya. Guests take guided expeditions to Mzima Springs ( a living Oasis inhabited with fish, crocodiles and hippos), Hippo Point ( inhabited with hippos and crocodiles), Shetani Caves, Chaimu Lava flows, Kichwa Tembo and Roaring Rocks among others.

Tsavo West National Park – Mombasa

(205 km – 4 to 5 hrs)

Get ready for the final day of our unforgettable safari adventure, as we bid farewell to Tsavo West National Park and make our way back to Mombasa. The journey spans approximately 205 kilometers and will take around 4 to 5 hours.

As the sun begins to rise, we set out on a pre-breakfast game drive, immersing ourselves in the natural splendor of the park. This is a prime time to witness nature at its finest, with predators on the prowl and herbivores peacefully grazing on the dew-covered vegetation. The scenic volcanic terrain is adorned with vibrant colors, creating a breathtaking backdrop for our safari expedition.

After indulging in a satisfying breakfast at your camp or lodge, we embark on another adventure, this time heading to the enchanting Mzima Springs. As we journey towards this oasis, we continue to enjoy captivating game viewing opportunities along the way.

Arriving at the Mzima Springs, we embark on a refreshing nature walk, taking in the sights of the sparkling clear waters and the lush greenery that provides a welcome contrast to the semi-desert surroundings. Here, we have the opportunity to observe hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of colorful fish thriving in this unique ecosystem. Keep an eye out for migratory birds, adding a touch of avian elegance to the scene.

After immersing ourselves in the wonders of Mzima Springs, we bid farewell to Tsavo West National Park and begin our journey back to the Kenyan coast. Along the way, we make a stop in the town of Voi for a delectable lunch, savoring the flavors of the region.

As the day winds down, we arrive in the late afternoon, where we part ways at your beach resort or Mombasa Airport. No accommodation is included for this day, and while breakfast and lunch are provided, dinner is not included.

Throughout the day, drinking water will be readily available to keep you refreshed and hydrated. However, kindly note that all other drinks will be available at an additional cost.
