During the first day of your Kenyan safari, your journey will commence by being picked up from your Nairobi hotel or the Airport. From there, you will be transferred to the renowned Ol Pejeta Conservancy, situated in Central Kenya's captivating Laikipia County. This magnificent conservancy lies between the Aberdare Range's foothills and the breathtaking snow-capped peaks of Mount Kenya.

Upon your arrival at Ol Pejeta, you will be treated to a delightful and leisurely lunch at the charming Sweetwaters Serena Camp. Afterward, you'll have the pleasure of spending the rest of the afternoon at your leisure. Whether you prefer to relax on the patio of your stylish tent, unwind by the refreshing swimming pool, or observe the fascinating wildlife gathering at the ever-busy waterhole, the choice is yours.

For the night, you'll stay comfortably within Ol Pejeta Conservancy, enjoying the excellent accommodations at your camp. Your package includes both lunch and dinner, and drinking water will be provided throughout your stay. Please note that any additional beverages beyond water will be available at an extra cost.

Kicheche Lakipia Camp

An eco-award-winning small luxurious tented camp nestled in the shadows of Mount Kenya at the foot of an indigenous forest overlooking a waterhole. The camp’s squeaky green safari chic marries beautifully and sensitively with the natural highs of her surroundings in the wilderness zone of Ol Pejeta.

The camp consists of six luxurious custom-designed tents, all fully insect-proof with en-suite bathrooms equipped with a dresser, flushing toilet and hot showers. The tents are set around a waterhole which is a haven for resident wildlife. A family tent is also available which sleeps up to 4 guests.

Sweetwaters Serena Camp-Morani Wing Tent

With a magnificent backdrop of Mount Kenya, the recently constructed Morani Wing offers 17 luxurious tents suitable for double, twin, and triple occupancy. Among them, one tent is thoughtfully designed to cater to the needs of guests with mobility challenges. The bathrooms in these tents are equipped with a pair of hand washbasins, a toilet, and a shower enclosed by a glass door.

Full day in Ol pejeta Conservancy

Today's itinerary includes a visit to the captivating Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, a haven for orphaned and rescued chimpanzees. Established in partnership with Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS), and the Jane Goodall Institute, this sanctuary is the only place in Kenya to witness these fascinating apes from West and Central Africa. Observe them from a raised walkway overlooking their natural enclosures on islands separated by the Ewaso Nyiro River.

Next, enjoy a thrilling lion tracking excursion, joining expert trackers in search of radio-collared lions. Once found, spend time observing the pride's behavior in their natural habitat.

Arriving at this enchanting destination, you'll be welcomed to your charming lakeside camp or lodge, where a delightful lunch awaits. Lake Elmenteita, a soda lake, is renowned for its breathtaking birdlife, offering glimpses of magnificent great white pelicans and great crested grebes, among more than 350 migratory bird species that call this place home. The lake's shoreline also attracts a variety of wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, gazelles, elands, and families of playful warthogs.

In the afternoon, embark on a thrilling game drive in the nearby Lake Nakuru National Park. This remarkable park is a sanctuary for both white and black rhinos, boasting the presence of the rare Rothschild giraffe and numerous antelope species, such as gazelles, waterbucks, and impalas. Lions and leopards often grace visitors with their majestic presence, adding to the excitement of the adventure. For guests coming from the Mombasa Coast, a direct flight to our luxury tented camp takes just 2 hours, allowing for effortless access to this remarkable destination.

Ilkeliani Camp

Ilkeliani is an elegant oasis in the centre of the world famous Maasai Mara. The redesigned camp overlooking game-filled plains has stylish new tented suites, a selection of viewing decks, and a wealth of enticing activities. Dedicated to privacy and personal service, the team offers a sophisticated safari experience. The camp is small and intimate with a maximum of twelve ensuite guest tents.

Sarova Mara Game Camp

Full day in Masai Mara National Reserve

After an early breakfast and with packed lunches served picnic-style in the bush, you'll enjoy a full day of game-driving in the Masai Mara National Reserve. On the grassy plains adorned with trees and rocky kopjes, keep a lookout for the majestic big cats. The reserve is renowned for its large prides of lions and cheetahs hunting in family groups. In the early morning, you may also spot other predators like jackals, hyenas, and bat-eared foxes on the prowl. The acacia woodlands are home to giraffes, elands, impalas, topis, and hartebeests, while the Mara River hosts half-submerged hippos and some of Africa's largest crocodiles.

For an extra-special experience, consider the optional hot air balloon safari, floating over the plains and rivers at dawn, watching wildlife from above (US$560 per person). Another optional extra is visiting a Maasai village (US$20 per person), providing an interactive introduction to the culture of the semi-nomadic Maasai warriors, deeply connected to the land and animals of the Mara. If you wish, an overnight stay at the Maasai village can be arranged upon request.

Afterward, we'll return to Nairobi, where you have the option to be dropped off at your hotel or the airport for your onward flight.

Please note that no accommodation is provided on this day, and dinner is not included. However, you will be served breakfast and lunch during the day. Drinking water will be readily available, while any other beverages can be obtained at an additional cost.
