Start your day with an early pick-up at 7.30am from your hotel, residence, or Nairobi airport. Our journey begins by heading north towards the majestic Mount Kenya, allowing you to soak in the sights of the Kenyan countryside and experience the local life as it gracefully passes by.

A delightful stop awaits in Nanyuki town, where you can savor the flavors of traditional Kenyan tea, while your guide ensures all the necessary food supplies are prepared for the upcoming hike. From here, we'll proceed to the Sirimon Gate of Mount Kenya National Park. During this time, you will enjoy a satisfying hot lunch while your guide takes care of the park fees and permits.

Now, it's time for the real adventure to commence. The trek kicks off with a two to three-hour walk, ascending to an elevation of 3,300 meters. Enjoy a more leisurely morning with a wake-up call at 7.30 am, allowing you to savor a hot and satisfying breakfast. Take your time to repack your bag before we commence our hike at 9 am. Day 3 of your tour is all about soaking in incredible views, spotting magnificent animals, especially majestic birds of prey, and acclimatizing for the final ascent on the fourth day.

Following a clockwise route, you'll make your way halfway around the summit. The walk is steadily uphill, leading you to climb up Simba Col and then amble alongside the stunning Simba Tarn before reaching Austrian Hut—your final destination for the day, where a delightful lunch awaits. The rest of the day is yours to relax and prepare mentally and physically for the forthcoming ascent to the peak on the next day.

Your journey to Point Lenana, standing tall at 4,985 meters, should take approximately one hour, allowing ample time for you to be in position for the majestic sunrise. The ascent demands both physical and mental strength, making it a true test of determination and resilience.

As the first rays of sunlight break through the darkness, you may be blessed with a clear day that rewards you with breathtaking views of Mounts Kilimanjaro and Elgon, as well as glimpses of the distant Indian Ocean to the east. As the day concludes, arrive at Bandas Camp, where your well-walked legs can rest and recuperate. On the last day of your safari hike, enjoy a leisurely breakfast served at 7 am. With no rush as you descend Mount Kenya, you have the freedom to move at a comfortable pace this morning.

The final leg of your journey covers a pleasant 10 km of downhill or flat terrain, guiding you through enchanting forests with abundant opportunities to spot a myriad of mammals and birds amidst the wooded landscape. Upon reaching the mountain base, our driver will be eagerly awaiting your arrival.

From there, you'll be driven through the park, arriving at the charming town of Chogoria. Once outside the park, you'll have the chance to bid a fond farewell to the dedicated crew who supported your exhilarating hike up Mount Kenya.

As the journey continues south to Nairobi, a stop at a local town will provide you with a delightful hot lunch of traditional Kenyan fare. You can expect to arrive in Nairobi in the late afternoon, where you can request to be dropped off at the airport, your hotel, or residence, depending on your onward plans.
